In previous years crew’s visibility has been hampered by the dusty
conditions, on what is usually a sunny hot day for the event. For
this years event though the organisers have acted to ensure that
each crew gets a fair run of the stages and decided to run cars at
2-minute intervals. With David and Rob starting at number 10 they
will certainly be glad of this.
Rob is certainly keen to get back out on the stages this weekend,
2007 has been a quite year for Isle of Man Sports Aid Foundation
member in comparison to the previous two years.
“I am certainly looking forward to getting back in the car with
David, this year the time between events I am doing is just too
long” commented Rob, “Over the past couple of seasons I have got
used to being in the car a lot and this has kept me focussed
throughout the whole season. Despite having the time to train while
back at home nothing makes up for car time. I have a good programme
between now and the end of November and am certainly looking forward
to being out competing.”
Recently Rob has been luckily enough to receive support from the
Euromanx - Isle of Man’s Airline, which he is obviously delighted to
receive.
“I have to say a big thank you to Euromanx for the support they have
provided me with, as I am sure anyone can appreciate travelling from
the island to compete in a UK Championship can get quite expensive”
explained Rob, “The support from the airline certainly helps me to
get away and compete and hopefully I will be able to repay this
faith with not only results but by spreading the name of Euromanx.”
