Evo Challenge debut for Rob!

Isle of Man based co-driver Rob Fagg makes his first appearance of 2007 this
weekend and with it comes his debut in the Mitsubishi Ralliart Evolution Challenge.

The 27 year old Isle of Man Sports Aid Foundation member has teamed up with
Scotland's young driving sensation David Bogie to contest this years'
championship, starting with the Bournemouth based Rally Sunseeker this
weekend.

The new pairing will use a recently built Oakbank Services supported Lancer Evo 9 in the highly competitive series, which will be run by Lancashire based preparation company Pro-Tec Motorsport.

Rallye Sunseeker begins on Friday evening with two short blasts around
Bournemouth promenade before the overnight halt. The crews will then resume the

rally proper on Saturday where a further 12 stages lay ahead of them, based around the New Forest.

This will not be the pairs first outing together; they previously contested the McRae Stages in Bogie's 1400 Nova at the end of the 2006 season as a prelude to 2007, but they are under no illusion that this season is going to be a tough one and the Challenge is set to be the

most competitive series in Britain.

"With a former two time British Champion (Jonny Milner), the reigning MSA
National Champion (Craig Middleton), plus a host of other highly experience Group
N drivers entered, it is going to be no easy task ahead of us", commented Rob.

"David is a great driver and has showed a lot of promise over the past year and I am
really looking forward to partnering him in 2007. We have committed to the Evo Challenge as it offers a highly competitive championship and also the best prize in British rallying, a works drive with Mitsubishi for 2008."

Bogie is generally considered to be one of the best up and coming drivers in
Britain, and after dominating the 1400cc category on last years BTRDA
Championship, this is his first step up to national competition.

He has still yet to drive the car in competition after a pre-series run out on the
Wyedean was cancelled mainly due to weather but David then came down with a
flu bug which saw him bedridden for 4 days. The Scottish youngster has been
limited to a short but successful test, which included former Mitsubishi works driver
Alistair McRae on hand to assist with set-up and driving tuition.

After the recent test Pro-Tec Team Manager, Allan Durham, made comment on
David's move to 4WD and the Evo Challenge.

"David will be rallying against some of the quickest UK and Irish drivers this year as he steps up to 4WD and the Mitsubishi Evo Challenge. This is going to be a very exciting year and everyone in the team is enthusiastically looking forward to it getting under way, commented Durham. "2007 will be about getting David as much time in the car as possible as he is fully aware of the competition he faces in this years Challenge. He will be looking to pick up his pace as he series progresses. He is a great young talent and I have no doubt at all he will be running with the leading pack very early on.

Alongside the Evo Challenge, David and Rob will be out on as many events as possible, both gravel  and tarmac, to get as much mileage under there belts on in the car as possible. The first of these will be next weeks Cumbria based Malcolm Wilson Rally.

Additional support for 2007 comes from Kumho Tyres.

Rob is supported in 2007 by the Isle of Man Sports Aid Foundation, Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, www.Mexperience.com, Advanced Autosport Technologies, Robert Graham & Co Chartered Quantity Surveyors, NickyGrist.com and Manx Telecom.
