Rob looks to strengthen position

Isle of Man Bank Scholarship recipient Rob Fagg heads to Carlisle this weekend to contest the second round of the British Rally Championship Stars of the Future series, the Pirelli National Rally. Alongside rapid Ludlow youngster James Wozencroft, Isle of Man Sports Council supported Fagg will hope for a repeat of the success achieved on the opening round of the series in Wales, where they took the win by over 2 minutes.

So far this season the young duo have been in fine form, with three wins from three starts in the highly competitive BTRDA Silkolene 1400 Championship to add to the previously mentioned result. The Pirelli though brings a fresh challenge, that being the legendary Kielder Forest where the stages are traditionally fast and require full concentration with the stages

waiting to claim you. In the Team Thompson run Suzuki Ignis 1400 machine Wozencroft and Fagg have a proven car which is in great shape and with confidence high in the team there is no reason why they can not continue their recent form.

The main event, the Pirelli International Rally, starts on Friday evening with the National joining in behind the main field on Saturday morning. The national crews will tackle 60 competitive miles spread over seven fast demanding stages, before returning to Carlisle for the finish in the City Centre around 16:30.

Rob is supported in 2005 by the Isle of Man Sports Council, Manx Motorsport Youth Trust, Isle of Man Bank Scholarship, Integrated Capabilities, Thompson Garages, Manx Telecom, Mexperience.com and Dunlop Tyres
