Wozencroft has been in
sensational form so far this year, with three straight wins from
three starts in the Silkolene 1400 National Rally Championship.
The young Englishman has caught the eye with his consistent
performances, and served notice of his abundant talent with a show
stealing performance at the recent BRC Live! Rally Sprint in
Nuneaton.

Despite just a 1400cc
engine in the striking yellow Ignis, 'Wozie' used every inch of
the rally sprint road and more to record a stunning 3rd overall!
Wozencroft's achievement made all the more remarkable as he beat
the likes of Matt Wilson and Olly Marshall in state of the art
World Rally Cars with 300 horsepower and four wheel drive.
For James though, it was just a bit of fun and a chance to
entertain the crowds. The serious business commences this
weekend, as he contests the Panaround Rally, comprising of 60
stage miles in the world famous Dyfi and Gartheiniog forests near
to the rally base in Dolgellau. Both Wozie and Robert go into the
rally with a positive attitude after their recent successes, and
the pair already seem odds on favourites to set the pace on the
opening round.
We're certainly being
cast as the pace-setters for the series, but you can't take
anything for granted in this game' reflected James after his BRC
Live! outing. 'There will be plenty of competition, and in
rallying - a puncture or a spin and stall can make the difference
between winning and losing as I've found out in the past.
James and Robert will
contest the entire Stars of the Future series this year, visiting
the likes of the Pirelli International Rally, Scottish Rally, Jim
Clark Memorial Rally, Trackrod Rally Yorkshire and more along the
way. Wozencroft is confident, but aware that he cannot take
success for granted in the all new series, designed to promote up
and coming British rally talent through a 'feeder' series to the
'Premier League' of UK rallying:
The Suzuki Ignis is in great shape and we're 100% ready for action
and really looking forward to the rally. The pressure may be on
us to perform, but we have plenty of confidence after our good
form of this season, so there is no reason why we cannot do well
on the event'.
The Charlton
Arms backed duo are desperate to kick their campaign off with a
good start, and James will certainly be one to watch after the
British Rally Championship stars have passed through the stages
this weekend. Follow their progress on the official BRC website -
www.brcweb.co.uk
where you can access images, news, and results from all the
rallies.
