Isle of Man Sports Aid recipient Rob
Fagg hopes to maintain his lead at the top of the BTRDA Silkolene
1400 Co-driver Championship this weekend as he contests the North
Humberside Forest Rally. The Hull based event is the third round of
the championship and will see the crews tackle 45 competitive miles
on some of the fastest gravel stages in the UK.
After back to back victories on the
opening two rounds alongside Shropshire rally star James Wozencroft,
the pair go into the event as the team to beat. The event though
will see a change of machinery as the Dealer Team Suzuki Ignis they
used on the opening rounds is currently being prepared for the BRC
Live event next weekend. Wozencroft therefore has rolled out his own
Vauxhall Nova that he used to good effect in 2004 taking runner-up
spot in this championship and so it should not prove a handicap for
Wozencroft and Isle of Man Back Scholarship backed Fagg in their
quest for further points.
Rob is supported in 2005 by the Isle of Man Sports Council, Manx
Motorsport Youth Trust, Isle of Man Bank, Integrated Capabilities,
Manx Telecom and Mexperience.co.uk
