Fagg hoping to open BTRDA account

Manx Motorsport Youth Trust supported Rob Fagg will contest Round 3 of the BTRDA Rally Championship this weekend, the North Humberside Forest Rally.   The majority of the 44 mile event takes place on the gravel tracks of the North Yorkshire Moors, except for stage 1 which is run on the motorcycle track at Oliver’s Mount.

Continuing alongside Liverpool rally driver Tony Simpson they hope to get their first points of the season after retirement last time out on the Malcolm Wilson Rally due to a cooling fault on their www.rallyschool.co.uk run VW Polo.

During the week after the Malcolm Wilson the car was thoroughly checked over by the team and the cooling issue investigated to ensure that it does not re-occur.

“I am looking forward to the weekend, last year I finished the event and hope to improve on the position achieved.   The change from maps to notes is defiantly going to be big help as I look to push Tony on” explained Rob, “I would like to thank the Manx Motorsport Youth Trust also who have this week agreed to assist me with my championship campaign.”

This weekend marks the start of a busy time for Rob; he will be contesting five events in seven weeks.   Although he is currently hoping to make that seven in seven if the required funds can be found to make the two extra events possible.

Thanks for support goes to:- Integrated Capabilities, Aon (IOM) Ltd, Manx Motorsport Youth Trust, www.rallyschool.co.uk and www.rallycodriver.co.uk
