Collister Targets Podium in Wales

Manx Motorsport Youth Trust backed driver George Collister, makes the trip across the Irish Sea this weekend to contest the second round of the Kumho Clubman Rally Championship; the Llangollen based Astra Stages.

After a fine 5th place overall on the opening round of the series the 23 year old Manx Young Driver of the Year and his 24 year old co-driver Rob Fagg are keen to demonstrate their potential this weekend in the Motivation Engineering backed Ford Escort. The youngsters are looking for no less than a podium finish to build their momentum in the Championship title hunt.

Following the opening round, despite running faultlessly, the car has still gone through a thorough maintenance program. The team are aiming for reliability, allowing the boys to reap the rewards and improve on their Yorkshire Top 5 finish.

The Astra Stages will take the crews over 44 competitive miles, covering some of the finest gravel stages in the UK including one stage in the Penmachno Complex
