Another
recipient of the Manx Motorsport Youth Trust will this weekend make
his first outing of the 2004 rally season. Andrew Leece
will contest the opening round of the recently announced Ford Rallye
Sport Ka Championship, the R&M Welsh International Rally.
The gravel event is made up of sections used in Rally GB
including two runs through the Walters Area spectator stage.
After much uncertainty the championship has found the support to run
a seven round series and still of the lucrative prize of a Ford
Super 1600 Rally Car for a British Championship in 2005.
Andrew plans to contest the full series and be in the running for
the opportunity of a lifetime that is on offer.
Andrew will be
partnered on the opening round by up and coming co-driver Rob Fagg.
Despite Rob's present commitments in the ANCRO and BTRDA series
he is keen to find the funding to contest the championship with
Andrew, who he feels is one of the most promising young drivers on
the island. If you are able to help Rob then please call
him on 451232 or e-mail codriver@robertfagg.com
Rob would
like to thank the following for their continued support: Manx
Motorsport Youth Trust,
Integrated Capabilities, Manx Gas, Aon (IOM) Ltd, Sign and Design and www.rallycodriver.co.uk
