Busy Times Ahead

Manx Motorpsort Youth Trust recipient Robert Fagg will contest the 2003 Done Easter Stages with a visiting driver from Ireland.   The event is the second round of the A.V. Craine Manx Stage Rally Championship and with regular driver George Collister missing the event to prepare for the Roush Manx National, Robert will compete with Sean Warnock.

Sean travels to the Ireland the evening before the event and it will leave little time for the pairing to get acquainted before then attack the opening stage at Conrenny.   The car the pair will be using is a MKII Escort which will provide similar surrounds for Rob.

The opening round of the championship ended early for when the head gasket on the Motivation built engine leaked and caused retirement from the CCS Stages Rally.   It was a great shame for Rob and George who entered the event in high morale and the Phil Maltby supported Escort seeming strong.

A week after Easter it will be a trip to Gateshead to contest the Pirelli National Rally, the 3rd Round of the Ford Rallye Sport Ka Championship.   Rob and Matthew Bettridge will be hoping to improve on the run on the North Humberside and collect further points in the championship.

On the return it will be busy week doing the recce for the Roush Manx National with George before the event on the 9th and 10th May.

All in all the coming month will be full of competing and preparation.   Lets hope some good results come out of them as well.
